Yvette Nicole Brown Calls Out Khloe Kardashian s Water Usage Before Fires

Yvette Nicole Brown is not impressed with Khloe Kardashian.

The actress called out the reality star for her excessive water use after Kardashian, 40, slammed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ response to the ongoing wildfires destroying Los Angeles neighborhoods.

“This is from 2022 when Los Angeles was in the midst of a drought,” Brown, 53, wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 13. “Every citizen was asked to conserve for the good of everyone else. Y’know because of fires? This is how some citizens responded to the ask. Is THIS a joke @khloekardashian?”

The Community star also shared a screenshot of a Rolling Stone article with a headline that read: “Kardashians Among L.A.’s Worst Water Wasters.”

The publication, which cited public data obtained by the Los Angeles Times, said Kardashian’s Calabasas home used roughly 101,000 gallons of water over the allotted limit in one month. (The Kardashians never publicly commented on the report.)

Brown’s comments come after Kardashian expressed her support for Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin M. Crowley after watching a recent interview in which she discussed the department’s budget.

“We are screaming to be properly funded, to make sure that our firefighters can do their jobs so that we can serve the community that we took an oath,” Crowley told KTTV.

In response to the interview, Kardashian said she stood by Chief Crowley.

“You spoke the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn’t even want to say that but it was THE TRUTH!!!!!” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Friday, January 10. “Thank you for being honest @LosAngelesFireDepartment Chief Crowley. Mayor Bass you are a joke!!!!”

During a press conference on Saturday, January 11, Bass, 71, said she and Crowley are “focused” on putting out the multiple fires surrounding Los Angeles County and “any differences that we might have will be worked out in private.”

Many celebrities have been directly impacted by the Southern California fires. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Ricki Lake and Melissa Rivers were just some of the stars who lost their homes in the Palisades Fire.

As of Tuesday, January 14, the fire has burned more than 23,000 acres and was 17 percent contained. According to the Los Angeles Times, roughly 92,000 people remain under evacuation orders, and 89,000 others are in areas where evacuation warnings have been issued.
