President Donald Trump has given his stamp of approval to son Donald Trump Jr.‘s new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson.
A source tells Us Weekly exclusively that the 47th and current president supports his son’s relationship and feels he and Anderson are “a great match.”
“If he didn’t, she wouldn’t be going to the inauguration,” the source adds.
Don Jr., 47, and Anderson, 37, attended the president’s second inauguration together on Monday, January 20.
Don Jr.’s ex-fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was also in attendance as part of Trump’s administration. He nominated her to be the U.S. Ambassador to Greece.
Don Jr. and Anderson, a Florida-based socialite, were first linked in early December when the Daily Mail obtained photos of them celebrating her birthday together in Palm Beach.
“He likes her a lot and has a lot of respect for her,” the source said, adding that Don Jr. is “smitten” with Anderson and thinks she is “very smart.”
The couple first stepped out in public together on January 17 as the inauguration celebrations began. They attended a fireworks ceremony at Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., then an Inauguration Eve candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum on Sunday, where Guilfoyle was also present.
“When it comes to his relationship with Bettina it’s just about them,” the source says. “He wants a partner. She doesn’t need anything from him and just wants to be with him.”
Don Jr.’s new relationship comes months after he and Guilfoyle broke things off in the heat of the 2024 election season.
“Don and Kimberly broke up before the election and started to divide assets around the end of September,” a source exclusively told Us in December 2024. “The breakup was amicable and so is their relationship today. They just had different goals.”
Don Jr. and Guilfoyle began dating in 2018 amid his divorce from ex-wife Vanessa Trump. The two share kids Kai, 17, Donald, 15, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 10.
“Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond,” Don Jr. said in a statement to Page Six on December 13. “I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play [as U.S. ambassador to Greece.]
“She’s been an undefeated prosecutor, national TV news star, a leader of the MAGA movement and close advisor to the president,” he continued “The people of Greece are getting an absolute star and now the whole world will see it more than ever.”
