Patrick Mahomes’ big NFL playoff win turned into a family affair.
Moments after the Kansas City Chiefs secured their spot in the 2025 Super Bowl after defeating the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 26, Patrick, 29, celebrated with several members of his extended family.
As the Chiefs were crowned AFC Champions, Patrick reunited with his parents Randi Mahomes and Pat Mahomes Sr., as well as brother Jackson Mahomes.
“SUPERBOWL TIME!!!,” Jackson, 24, wrote via Instagram on Sunday while posing for a family photo at Arrowhead Stadium with sister Mia Randall.
Randi and Pat separated in 2006 after welcoming Patrick and Jackson. Following their split, the exes moved on and welcomed children with other partners — Randi welcomed daughter Mia, while Pat is the father of Zoe Mahomes and Graham Walker.
“All glory to God for this incredible opportunity to witness history in the making,” Randi wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 27, after the big game. “So grateful to watch you pour your heart into what you love, son!”
Patrick has been open about the positive influence both of his parents had on him as a child.
“I think both my parents just really taught me how to follow my dreams.” the quarterback told the NFL Network in 2023. “I think that was the biggest thing. They didn’t care if I was an athlete. They didn’t care where I was going. They just told me to follow my dreams, do whatever I could to have no regrets at the end of the day.”
That mindset is something Patrick hopes to pass on to his own kids with wife, Brittany. The couple are parents to Sterling, 3 and Bronze, 2. They also welcomed daughter Golden Raye on January 12.
“I think that’s what I’m trying to do with my kids now is, obviously, I’m trying to parent in my own way, but I want them to enjoy life,” Patrick explained. “And they’re young now, but if they want to play sports, they can play sports. If they don’t, they don’t have to and just enjoy it and to follow their dreams.”
Next stop on the family’s travel list is a trip to the Super Bowl in New Orleans, where the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, February 9.
Patrick and his teammates hope to make history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
“See y’all in New Orleans! ⏰,” Patrick wrote via Instagram on Sunday after another big AFC Championship win.
