South Africa-based Ugandan entrepreneur who doubles as reality TV star Zarina Hassan, alias Zari the Boss Lady, has weighed in on Nigerian actress Annie Macaulay Idibia and her husband 2Baba’s divorce.
Taking to her official Instagram account, Zari on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, assured her fellow cast member at Young, Famous, and African, Annie, of the love from Africa as she battles with her divorce.
“Africa loves you, baby girl @annieidibia1,” Zari wrote.
Annie and 2baba’s divorce
On Monday, January 27, 2025, 2Baba took to Instagram to announce the end of their 13-year marriage.
In the viral video, the musician confirmed the post’s authenticity of the previous statement posted on his social media, refuting claims of his account being hacked.
“No one hacked my account; I said what I said; I come in peace,” he said in the video.
In the deleted post, 2Baba had clarified that they are separated, and he has filed for divorce, adding that he will soon be releasing an official statement containing his side of the story regarding the matter.
“Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long… Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while now and have currently filed for divorce.
“I will grant a press release soon to say my story, not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people, and I need them to know my innocence or offence. Stay blessed, my people. I love you all,” he posted.
The announcement marks the end of a love story that captivated millions.
2Baba and Annie tied the knot in 2012, solidifying their bond in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Dubai the following year.
The couple shares two daughters and has long been regarded as one of Nigeria’s most enduring and iconic celebrity unions.
