Kristen Stewart is taking a break from her signature underwear-as-outerwear style.
While Stewart, 34, is known for exposed bras that blend fashion and function, she left her favorite accessory at home on Tuesday, January 28, in Los Angeles when she stepped out for a Love Me special screen in a sheer Chanel cardigan sans bra.
While she may have been shirtless, her sweater spoke for itself, and featured a graphic pattern and pink-and-silver tweed piping, plus matching pants.
The actress’ bare midriff sent cameras flashing, while her chunky silver rings and layered necklaces also shined bright.
Stewart rocked smoldering glam, complete with a smokey eyeshadow blended out to her brow bone with a touch of sparkle on her lid. She swept on minimal blush and nude lipstick, then parted her finger-raked blonde waves down the middle.
Stewart’s topless look was a departure from a year of wearing almost exclusively bra-exposing ensembles beginning in March 2024, when she slayed in three separate looks.
At a Chanel pre-Oscar dinner in Beverly Hills, the brand ambassador modeled one of the French fashion house’s black-and-white bras, featuring cutout details and barely-there straps. Stewart wore her lingerie underneath a see-through button-down and men’s white boxer-style shorts.
Stewart also left little to the imagination while walking through New York City later that month in cream-colored cashmere briefs with a cable-knit design. She paired her cozy panties with sheer tights, burgundy pumps and a collared shirt left undone with the exception of a single top button to reveal a matching cream-colored bra peeking out.
One day later, the Love Lies Bleeding actress stepped out in an edgy look consisting of a fishnet bralette, a leather blazer and a miniskirt with garters that held up black thigh-high stockings.
Prior to her exposed bra era, Stewart was never one to shy away from a topless moment underneath a tailored blazer. She even rocked the look on the red carpet, including the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and the 2022 Oscars, and both looks were clear sartorial winners.
