Nairobi County Environment CEC Geoffrey Mosiria has publicly chastised renowned Neno Evangelism Head Minister, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, over his recent harsh treatment of a Mukuru kwa Njenga woman who sought help from his church.
In a video posted on his TikTok account on the night of Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Mosiria addressed Ng’ang’a using his self-proclaimed title, Commander, strongly criticizing him for failing to extend compassion to those in need.
He argued that, as a spiritual leader, Ng’ang’a should be a beacon of hope for his followers rather than dismissing them so callously.
“My message to Commander Pastor Ng’ang’a—please, as a pastor, you should give hope to your people,” Mosiria urged.
Essence of benevolence
While acknowledging that Ng’ang’a may not always have the financial means to assist every congregant who seeks his help, Mosiria insisted that his treatment of Milka Moraa was unacceptable, particularly given his esteemed position as a pastor.

He emphasized that a true prophet does not disgrace or belittle those who turn to him for aid but instead sets a compassionate and exemplary precedent for others to follow.
“Pastor, always instill hope in your people. You may not have the resources to provide for everyone like Jesus, but I believe you are a man of God. A true prophet does not humiliate those who come seeking assistance; instead, he leads by example and uplifts, rather than misguides,” Mosiria asserted.
Seeking social media clout
Mosiria, visibly agitated by how Pastor Ng’ang’a scolded and dismissed Moraa, speculated that the pastor’s actions were possibly orchestrated to generate social media buzz—as has been the case in previous instances.
He condemned Ng’ang’a’s public shaming of the young woman, stating that rather than offering her support, he stripped her of her dignity and portrayed her as desperate.
He further cautioned the pastor that, regardless of whether his actions were intended to generate online attention, they were deeply inappropriate and unbecoming of a spiritual leader.
“What you did to that young lady was disgraceful. You humiliated her. You made her look completely dejected. I believe you wanted to trend on social media because you always say outrageous things for attention—but Pastor Commander, this was uncalled for,” Mosiria stated firmly.
Moraa finds redemption
Following the widespread outrage sparked by her ordeal, Milka Moraa Tegisi’s story resonated with Kenyans, leading to a remarkable turn of events in her life.
Not only has she secured stable employment, but she has also been granted an Affordable Housing unit under the Mukuru Affordable Housing Project, as revealed by police officer Sammy Ondimu Ngare.
Moraa has already visited the Affordable Housing Board offices in Nairobi, where she signed the necessary documentation as she awaits the completion of her new home within the next two months.
According to Ngare, Kenyans, deeply moved by her plight, rallied together and raised Ksh450,000, a portion of which has been used as a down payment for her new home. She will then pay a monthly installment of Ksh3,900, nearly equivalent to her current rent of Ksh4,000—except this time, the payments will contribute to her eventual ownership of the unit.
“It’s been a journey, and I thank God for how far He has brought us. We successfully raised Ksh450,000 and deposited it in the bank. Polisi alikotumwa, nishafanya part yangu. Aliambiwa aende kwa polisi na akaambiwa kuna fraidable, nyumba za affordable,” Ngare shared.
