Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen have made their red carpet debut, stepping out at the NFL Honors as a newly engaged couple.
Steinfeld and Allen, both 28, posed together at the event, which took place in New Orleans on Thursday, February 6 as the city gears up for the Super Bowl on Sunday.
The singer’s diamond engagement ring sparkled brightly on her finger, with Steinfeld opting for a low-cut black dress teamed with heels in the same hue to complete the look.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills quarterback looked dapper in a black suit and matching tie and he held his wife-to-be’s hand on the red carpet.
The couple announced their engagement in November 2024, sharing the happy news via a joint Instagram post.
The post, which was captioned simply “♾ 11•22•24 ♾,” showed a photo from Allen’s romantic waterfront proposal.
Allen proposed at sunset in front of a flower arch while down on one knee and the snap showed Steinfeld kissing her new fiancé.
The sports star shared further details of the proposal in a December 2024 edition of Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter, writing, “I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you.’ I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said ‘please.’”
He added: “You were extremely surprised, you said yes, and that was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out. It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy.”
Ahead of their red carpet debut, Steinfeld gushed about Allen and his sporting accomplishments.
“To say the least, I am so proud of that man and everything he’s done and everything that team has done together,” the actress told E! News in January. “He is the hardest working person I know.”
The couple were first linked when they were spotted together in New York City in May 2023, shortly after Allen ended his eight-year relationship with girlfriend Brittany Williams.
In June 2023, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Allen and Steinfeld’s courtship was “going really great,” adding, “[They] laugh a ton when they’re together [and] are always smiling.”
While they’ve largely kept their romance out of the spotlight, Allen publicly acknowledged his relationship status in August 2023 when questioned about his response to being photographed with Steinfeld on vacation. “The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind,” he said on the “Pardon My Take” podcast.
