Teddi Mellencamp shared a somber message about her health after suffering “severe and debilitating headaches” for weeks.
“Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization,” Mellencamp, 43, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, February 12.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum explained that after getting a CT scan and an MRI, “Doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”
Mellencamp shared that two of her tumors would be “surgically removed today” and that the “remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”
The former Bravo star — who is currently going through a divorce with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave — revealed she’s in high spirits thanks to her inner circle. (The estranged couple share three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4. She is also the stepmother of Arroyave’s eldest daughter Isabella.)
“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she wrote.
Mellencamp concluded, “Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”
Mellencamp’s health update comes two years after she battled stage II melanoma cancer. The reality star shared her diagnosis in October 2022, months after she had a mole removed on her back that revealed the cancerous cells.

She had the moles removed at the time but revealed in January 2023 that she developed three new spots that “needed to be biopsied.”
Throughout 2023, Mellencamp underwent removals for more melanomas before having a “wide excision melanoma” procedure, which she said that December “went well.”
In March 2024, Mellencamp said her scars were healing nicely, but wrote via social media that during her check-up “there was one abnormal spot the doctor felt we should biopsy.” She continued, “It’s on the other side of my body, so praying it’s nothing. But [I] felt it’s a great time to remind you to get those skin checks ❤️.”
By the end of the year, Mellencamp felt she had finally turned a corner in her skin cancer journey.
“I just got done having a little cry, but it’s a good one. It’s the first time in over two years I’ve gone in for my three-month check and not had to have a biopsy because I have another cancerous spot,” she tearfully told fans in an Instagram video in December 2024. “Both me and my doctor, we just looked at each other and we were like, ‘What?’ It was, oh my gosh, such a good feeling.”
