General Hospital comings and goings confirm Jeff Kober is out as Cyrus Renault dies and his killing spree finally ends on the ABC daytime drama.
Cyrus Renault Opens up on General Hospital
Recently, on General Hospital, super-villain Cyrus Renault had enough of Elizabeth Webber investigating him. He went to her house so they could talk. However, he had a loaded syring of Digitalis with him. So, he did not want to just talk to Elizabeth.
She was another obstacle getting in the way of his “mission.” So, he intended to murder her. Rightfully, she was terrified so she humored him. She pretended to understand that he truly was doing the Lord’s work and setting people free.
She also got to ask him questions and got some much-needed answers on General Hospital. Cyrus told her everything because he planned to kill her. But when he attacked Elizabeth Webber with the syringe, Lucky Spencer burst through the door.
She was able to get away but then Cyrus went after Lucky saying that he was going after him next anyway. He injected Lucky with the Digitalis and then took off while Elizabeth desperately tried to help him. Now, Lucky Spencer is fighting for his life at General Hospital.
Thankfully, Cyrus is no longer a threat. After he fled from Elizabeth’s home, he ran into his next obstacle — Josslyn Jacks. However, he wasn’t able to “remove” her. Now he is the one who has been “set free” and Jeff Kober’s run on the soap is over.

GH Casting Updates: Super-Villain Dead – Jeff Kober Exits
After the confrontation at Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) house, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) returned to his cabin. But when Cyrus got there, he was met with an unwelcome surprise. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was there snooping around.
She was desperate to find something that could prove Cyrus killed her late boyfriend, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). It turns out that Cyrus saved all of the ID bracelets of the souls he set free at General Hospital and Turning Woods.
Just as Joss found them and snapped a picture, Cyrus appeared in the doorway. He grabbed an ax and said he needed to get her out of the way also. However, he didn’t know that she was armed with Dex’s gun. So, she shot and killed him.
And in his last breath, he told her that now she’s the murderer on General Hospital. But she can breathe a sigh of relief because he’s finally dead and can’t kill anyone else. Now, she is turning to WSB station chief, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) for help.
Soon, they must decide if they’re going to call the police or handle Cyrus themselves and cover up his murder. Chances are, the cops will find out because the aftermath of his death creates a ripple effect. And several lives will be in jeopardy.
General Hospital Comings & Goings: Cyrus’ Death Causes Massive Fallout
Now that Cyrus is dead, it’s surely a relief for Josslyn. Plus, she got the justice she wanted for Dex. However, the villain’s death will cause a major fallout, and just for Joss. Her actions will also greatly impact Brennan, her mom, Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Soon, Cyrus’s death causes a turning point in many lives — mostly Josslyn’s. Of course, she didn’t take down Cyrus completely on her own. Brennan was helping her along the way. And soon we learn that he has his own intentions for her on General Hospital.
Brennan Has Plans for Joss
No doubt, it appears that Jack wants to recruit Joss as an agent for the WSB. Or perhaps, his superiors want him to recruit her. Of course, his growing feelings for Carly are complicating things. And when she finds out that he had Joss going after Cyrus, she will flip.
Also, recent General Hospital spoilers promise that Carly and Joss will be thrown into a world they know nothing about — Brennan’s. As the storyline develops, others will be pulled into it and friendships and relationships will be tested.
Furthermore, Jason might find himself in hot water soon. No doubt, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and the PCPD are going to want to know who killed Cyrus. And of course, Jason will be the prime suspect. Interestingly, this time, he had nothing to do with it.
He listened to Anna but mostly he respected Sam McCall‘s (Kelly Monaco) wishes and her memory. And he let the cops handle Cyrus on General Hospital. He’s actually innocent for once but his freedom is still going to be on the line if no one else is prosecuted for Cyrus’s murder.
And he may end up going down for Josslyn. GH is thrilling and captivating right now. Don’t miss a moment of the ABC sudser to see what’s next for the city of Port Charles in the wake of Cyrus Renault’s death as we say farewell to Jeff Kober.
