Kenyan entertainer Oga Obinna has shared his thoughts on why musician Kevin Bahati continuously showers his wife, Diana Marua, with lavish gifts.
In a video posted on his Instagram page on Saturday, February 22, 2025, Obinna reflected on Bahati’s grand gestures, emphasizing that Diana’s reaction plays a crucial role in inspiring her husband to do more for her.
The comedian noted that he had observed a recent moment where Bahati gifted Diana a set of headphones and another item. He pointed out that Diana’s response was full of excitement and appreciation, a reaction that some people had mocked online. However, Obinna believes that this is precisely why Bahati keeps going out of his way to spoil her.
He explained that men enjoy being appreciated, and when their efforts are met with enthusiasm, they feel encouraged to continue. According to Obinna, the way a wife reacts to even the smallest gestures from her husband can determine whether he will continue making such efforts or reduce them over time.
“I have been trying to understand why Bahati is always doing right by Diana, and now I understand. I’ve just seen that video where amempea headphones na something else.
“Nikaona reaction ya Diana and some of you have been mocking her. But that is what every man wants. Diana knows how to keep a man happy. When you do something and how it is welcomed. Bahati’s grand romantic gestures
Obinna’s comments come amid Bahati’s ongoing celebration of his eight-year relationship with Diana. The singer has been making headlines with a series of grand surprises for his wife, starting on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.
On that day, Bahati stunned Diana with Ksh8 million as a token of their love. During a romantic picnic, he handed her Ksh5 million in cash and informed her that an additional Ksh3 million had been deposited into her bank account. He explained that the amount symbolized their eight years together and was just the beginning of more surprises to come.
Following this extravagant gesture, Bahati launched an eight-day gifting spree from February 17 to February 25, 2025, ensuring that each day brought a new surprise for Diana.
On February 17, Bahati chose to honour Diana’s father, despite their previously strained relationship. He gifted his father-in-law a brand-new Toyota Axio worth approximately Ksh1.9 million, demonstrating his commitment to strengthening family ties.
A few days later, on February 20, Bahati unveiled yet another jaw-dropping surprise: a 42-unit apartment complex in Ruiru gifted to Diana. This property investment was a dream come true for Diana, who had always aspired to venture into real estate development, according to Bahati. Diana expressed her deep appreciation for her husband’s generosity, calling him her answered prayer and greatest blessing.
“Babe, you are my answered prayer; you are my everything. You are our greatest blessing, and thank you so much,” Diana expressed.
