Renowned gospel artist and philanthropist Karangu Muraya has called for privacy and understanding amid an online altercation with his first gospel singer wife Triza Njeri widely known as Triza Mamake Muraya.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Karangu, while acknowledging the difficulties he and his family have faced in the past few days that were dominated by online dramas stated that they currently reflecting on their personal lives.
Expressing regret over any distress caused to those around him, Karangu in his message, emphasised his commitment to love, respect, and harmony, values that have always guided him.
“Dear Friends, The past few days have been deeply challenging for me and my family. I acknowledge that this situation has affected me and those closest to me, and I sincerely regret any distress it has caused.
“I have always believed in love, respect, and harmony, even in the face of difficulties. My wife, Triza, remains someone I deeply respect, and I honour her choices. During this time of personal reflection, I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this chapter of our lives,” he said.
The statement, filled with sincerity, also expressed hope for the future. Muraya remains optimistic about overcoming the present challenges and emerging stronger and wiser. In closing, he thanked his supporters for their love and encouragement, remaining hopeful that better days are ahead.

The couple has been married for over 13 years and has three kids together.
In February 2025 they were embroiled in a public marital dispute involving Karangu’s second wife, Carol Kim.
During a live TikTok session, Karangu expressed deep regret and pleaded with Triza to return to their matrimonial home for the sake of their family.
