Catherine shared a family skiing picture in honor of Alan’s birthday.
“Happy birthday to the leader of our family. He’s our leader of play, leader of adventure, and leader of forging a path for the important things of life,” she gushed via Instagram. “The world might see him as a lot like his character Reacher simply because of his menacing size. But those who come to know him get to see the parallels between Alan and the character’s inner life. The important things.”
She continued, “Happy birthday to quite possibly the most fearless man on this earth. May more humans feel inspired and protected by your very existence on this planet. I know I do.”
