Author Ashley St. Clair is offering some insight into her future plans to parent alongside Elon Musk after claiming she gave birth to his 13th child.
“Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time,” Brian Glicklich, a representative for St. Clair, 26, said in a statement shared via X on Saturday, February 15.
“It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially,” the statement continued. “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Musk for comment.
On Friday, February 14, St. Clair announced via X that she allegedly gave birth to the Tesla founder’s 13th child.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” St. Clair wrote. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
She continued, “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”
The author, best known for her children’s books Elephants Are Not Birds, also wrote “Alea lacta Est” alongside the written statement on Friday, which translates to “The die is cast.”
Shortly after St. Clair’s social media announcement, Shivon Zilis — who shares three children with Musk — tweeted a picture of herself alongside the pair’s twins, Strider and Azure. (She reportedly welcomed their third baby together in June 2024.)
“Lil loves of my life,” the Neuralink executive, 39, posted. Musk, 53, commented on the post with a sweet emoji, to which Zilis responded back with her own heart emoji.
Musk also shares six children with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson. The pair were married from 2000 to 2008, and share twins Vivian and Giffin, both 20, and 18-year-old triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian. Musk and Wilson, 51, also shared a son Nevada, who died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) when he was 10 weeks old.
Musk also shares three children with Grimes (real name Claire Boucher). Two years after the pair started dating in 2018, they welcomed son X Æ A-Xii in May 2020. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, Exa Dark Sidræl, via surrogate. The pair, who split in 2022, also share son Techno Mechanicus.
In a 2020 interview with The New York Times, Musk opened up about his coparenting relationship with Grimes, 36, telling the outlet that his now ex was in the driver’s seat.
“Well, babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know?” he told the outlet. “Right now there’s not much I can do. Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now. … When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me.”
In September 2024, Grimes sued Musk in regard to parental rights over their three children.
According to court documents obtained by Us, the “Oblivion” singer filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” in the Superior Court of San Francisco.
