Brittany Mahomes is sharing the ins and outs of daughter Golden Raye’s nursery.
In an Instagram video shared Thursday, January 16, Brittany told Crate and Kids that the inspiration behind the look of the nursery stemmed from the moniker she and husband Patrick Mahomes choose for their second daughter.
“When I found out I was having a baby girl, my mind immediately went to pink for the nursery,” Brittany explained, showing off the blush walls with golden accents throughout. “I really wanted to go very warm and pink with Golden’s nursery. And then obviously tying in the gold just to go with her name was really where we got most of the inspiration for her room.”
As the video revealed the little details of their baby’s room, Brittany shared what she believes to be the most important piece inside the space, revealing the cozy rocking chair in one of the corners of the room.
“I think this is, like, the most important part of a nursery when building it. You spend a lot of time in this chair as a mom, whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, reading them books, doing nighttime routine. So it needs to be comfortable,” she explained. “I did the ottoman because Patrick is much taller than I am so we can adjust this for our legs depending on who’s sitting in it,” she said.
As the mom of three continued, she also showed off the one of the bookshelves in the nursery, revealing one of the “super cute” detail changes they made. “We changed the knobs out for golden bows. For a baby girl, bows are so cute and then obviously it just goes with her name,” Brittany noted.
Brittany and Patrick welcomed Golden Raye on Sunday, January 12. Golden joins her two older siblings, 3-year-old Sterling Skye and 2-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
