To apply for a TSC (Teachers Service Commission) number in Kenya, you can follow these easy steps:

Requirements for TSC Number Application

1.Educational Qualifications: 

Depending on your education level, you need to meet certain grade requirements in KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) to be eligible for TSC registration. The requirements are as follows:

Certificate holders: C Plain in KCSE

Diploma graduates: C+ (plus) at KCSE

Degree graduates: C+ (plus) at KCSE

Primary teachers: Minimum of P1 qualification

Secondary school teachers: Diploma or degree in education with at least C+ in two subjects and a mean grade of C+ in KCSE.

2. General Requirements for TSC Number Application:

Up-to-date Certificate of Good Conduct

KRA (Kenya Revenue Authority) pin

GP 69 Medical form

One passport-size photo

Your National Identity Card

Certified copies of academic and professional documents

For non-citizens, a work permit from the Immigration Department

Bank Deposit Slip with a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1055/-

Visit the official TSC website: https://www.tsc.go.ke/

Enter your ID number and Surname, then click “Next.”

Fill out the online application form with your personal details accurately.

Upload scanned copies of all the required documents.

In section C of the form, enter additional details, including the Major and Minor subjects you studied.

Select the mode of payment and enter the pay-in slip number.

Review all the information you’ve provided to ensure it’s correct.

Save and finalize your application.

Once you’ve completed these steps, your application for a TSC number will be processed. If you meet all the requirements and provide the necessary documents, your TSC number should be approved within approximately 30 days.
