About the scheme
The Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) Foundation launched this initiative to assist students in achieving their academic goals.
The program covers the following costs:
KASNEB Fees:

2. Examination fees
3. Renewal fees
4. Exemption fees

Tuition in KASNEB-accredited institutions
Eligibility
The scheme is open to current KASNEB students as well as new applicants pursuing any of the following qualifications:
1. Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
2. Certified Secretaries (CS)
3. Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA)
4. Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)
5. Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD)
6. Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS)
Terms and conditions
The loan carries an interest rate of 6% per annum.
Repayment begins three years after completion of studies.
The maximum repayment period is 60 months, with the option for a shorter duration.
An administrative fee of Ksh 500 is charged at the time of disbursement.
How to apply
To apply for the loan or bursary, follow these steps:
1. Visit the HELB website at www.helb.co.ke.
2. Access the HELB Students’ Portal, register, and activate your account using your personal mobile number.
3. Log in and click the Loan Application tab on the left-hand dashboard.
4. Select one of the following options:
i) KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary Application – Tuition Fees Only
ii) KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary Application – KASNEB Fees Only
5. Read and agree to the Consent for the Collection and Processing of Personal Data.
6. Fill out the loan application form online.
