While on her Patterns tour, Kelsea Ballerini put herself on the list of performers who stop their show to get real with their fans.
In a video shared via TikTok, Ballerini, 31, is seen performing her hit song “Penthouse,” which tells the story of her divorce from her now ex-husband, Morgan Evans.
Evans and Ballerini dated for nine months in 2016 before getting engaged and saying “I do” in 2017.
In August 2022, Ballerini publicly announced that she and Evan, 39, had separated. Now, Ballerini is dating actor Chase Stokes.

In the TikTok clip, Ballerini was in the middle of the tune, singing, “It hurts putting s— in a box / And now we don’t talk,” when someone in the crowd yelled, “F— him.”
Ballerini continued to sing, “And it stings rolling up the welcome mat / Knowing you got half,” before beginning to shake her head and addressed her fans.
“Guys, we have to stop saying that,” Ballerini said. “Seriously. We are three years passed it. Everything is fine now. I sing the song for you now, it’s not about me anymore. Please.”
Ballerini continued, saying, “Alright. For everyone that’s moving forward with their lives, will you sing this with me?” and carried on with the song.

Following the end of her marriage, Ballerini and Stokes, 32, began dating in early 2023.
In an interview with InStyle, Stokes said he loves sharing his relationship with Ballerini with the world.
“Look, it’s a delicate dance for everybody, balancing what’s public and private,” he admitted to InStyle. “For me, it can be a bizarre thing to watch people hide their relationships.”
“Because it’s natural, you get so excited to talk about your person who wins something, you want to celebrate all the moments within life,” he continued. “So I think for us, it was kind of a no-brainer to be a little open.”
