Kelsea Ballerini has postponed three scheduled concerts until April after an illness caused her to end her show in Buffalo early on Thursday night, February 6.
The singer, 31, apologized to her fans at KeyBank Arena and promised to make it up to them in a post via her Instagram Stories.
“Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she said. “I am sicker than I am trying to be and I did not want to let anyone down tonight.”
She added, “I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. I’m so sorry but I never want to give you a half a– show.”
Ballerini ended her Buffalo show after just six songs, announcing she could not continue the performance after singing her 2020 hit “hole in the bottle.”
“So we are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh and the next day, Toronto, to the end of the tour, April 11th, 12th and 13th,” Ballerini continued. “I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life.”
Ballerini indicated before her show that she was under the weather, posting a photo of herself on stage via her Instagram Story with the caption, “For those sweet angel humans asking, I’m feeling better. Got some good rest (WOW I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE SLEEP) and the meds are doing their job and I can’t wait to perform for you tonight. My voice is still a little raspy, but we’re gonna lean in (like the Phoebe sexy voice) and I will see you on that stage. No way I’m letting you down.”
After being unable to finish the show, Ballerini reiterated to fans that she would make it up to them.
“I will put out every stop for you and I will make it so worth it,” Ballerini said, “I’m gonna’ go rest now and get better so I can really show up for the rest of this tour.”
“I hope you understand,” she added. “Thank you for the grace to be human and I love you.”
Ballerini later posted a photo of herself in bed snuggling with a pillow a fan made her, appearing to feature the likeness of her beloved dog, Dibs.

“Also to the sweet fan who made this pillow tonight, I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means,” she wrote. “Thank you. I love and appreciate y’all. see you in a few days.”
Dibs is currently battling an inoperable form of cancer, but has already outlived his initial prognosis. Ballerini told fans in December that he is “hanging tough.”
