Kendra Wilkinson isn’t letting the haters get her down.
The Girl Next Door alum, 39, returned to Instagram on Tuesday, January 21, to thank fans for their support after she posted a recent photo highlighting her weight gain. Her latest post featured a black-and-white closeup photo of her face, a contrast from the full-body mirror selfie that first got the internet talking.
“Thank you to all the positive comments after my last post,” she wrote in the caption. “Embracing life a little differently now a days….I’ve had my fair share of hardships and setbacks these last years but I’ve learned how to rise above and let life flow.”
The original post came on January 12 and has accrued nearly 150,000 likes since it was initially shared. It heavily features supportive comments from fans drowning out the trolls.

“Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, I’m aging. Yes, I’m not that girl i was before (playboy girl) 🤣,” she wrote at the time. “But for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy.”
Wilkinson expanded on her new mindset in her most recent post, adding that gaining weight was and is not “a failure.”
“I do enough every day to keep myself standing upright, healthy, mentally healthy and smiling,” she continued. “Overcoming challenges just shape us into new people and I’m willing to live and learn and grow through it all while staying focused and motivated.”
Wilkinson has undergone a significant transformation since her days as one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends. Now a mother of two, she is a real estate agent and even starred in the reality television series Kendra Sells Hollywood, which ran for two seasons on Discovery Plus.
She explained in her previous post that she stays busy by cooking, working out and golfing. She’s also monitoring her alcohol intake.

“Real estate, motherhood, and Hollywood isn’t easy to juggle but mamas out here grinding,” she added. “By myself with a few friends who truly have my back and 2 amazing kids.”
Wilkinson shares son Hank IV, 15, and daughter Alijah, 10, with ex-husband Hank Baskett, to whom she was married from 2009 to 2018.
Her fans appreciated her candor, flooding the comments with additional words of support.
“The amount of respect and admiration I’ve felt for you over the years is something I wish I had words for,” wrote one fan. “It’s the coolest thing to see you grow and evolve and find peace and balance. You motivate so many people and you don’t even realize it.”
