Kiengei’s wife lands plum Kiambu County job
Bishop and radio presenter Ben Kiengei is over the moon after his wife, Reverend Joy Benson, secured a prestigious appointment with the Kiambu County Government.
Expressing his pride and excitement for her new journey, Kiengei, taking to his official Facebook account on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, informed netizens about his wife’s appointment as a board member of Ruiru Level 4 Hospital and that she will be serving for three years.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Join us in congratulating Rev. Joy Benson for her appointment and being gazetted as a board member of Ruiru Level 4 hospital by the County Government of Kiambu for a period of three years. May God favour you as you serve the newly appointed board,” Kiengei posted.
Kiengei, who could not hide his joy as he celebrated his wife’s achievement, praised Reverend Joy, adding that her passion and dedication towards healthcare contributed to her latest achievement.
“Your passion towards good health care pushed you to begin the Sympathy Hands Foundation, where needy people, kids with autism and cerebral palsy conditions can access good health care, where the aged can benefit from JCM church medical cover, and also a feeding programme for the less fortunate and people who are abled differently, You never knew that someone was watching; through your medical camps and the sacrifice to the community, God has answered you. Shine brighter now and maximize your whole potential for humanity,” he added.
Joy’s appointment
In the gazette notice dated February 13, 2025, Joy will be alongside the other four members.
“It is notified to the general public that in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 (1) of the Kiambu County Health Services Act, 2019, the County Executive Committee Member in charge of Health Services, Kiambu County, appoints as board members of the respective Kiambu County Level 4 and Level 5 Hospital Boards, with effect from the 13th of February 2025, for a period of three (3) years.
“Titus Ndirangu Karuri (Chair), Humphry Mwangi Waweru, (Dr.) Rosemary Wambui Gachara, Joyceline Mugure Ngaru, and Loise Njeri Githuku Kim,” the appointment-gazette notice reads.
