Exactly five months after announcing the end of his highly publicised relationship with digital content creator Felicity Shiru, YouTuber Robert Ndegwa Kamau, popularly known as Thee Pluto, has come forward to reveal that he is now healed and happily moving on with his life.

Taking to Instagram on the night of Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the pioneer of sanitization YouTube content posted a cryptic message, cautioning his fans against misinterpreting his posts as signs of lingering bitterness over his past relationship.

“Any post I upload or stories aren’t personal anymore. I have healed, and life moves on,” he wrote.

Pluto, who also shared an Instagram story of himself looking sharp in a white snapback cap, was responding to fans who had read too much into an earlier post where he had touched on cheating.

In that post, he had expressed frustration over being engrossed in his sanitisation content, only to find himself bombarded with accusations of cheating. This was widely speculated to be a subtle hint that infidelity claims and mistrust were the cause of his breakup.

However, while addressing the reaction to his post, he clarified that he had been speaking on behalf of other men—not himself—who grind hard, only to later be hit with accusations of being unfaithful.

“I meant on behalf of all men who grind hard and are told wanacheat; e.g., wasee wa Mjei, etc. Not a personal post,” he shared.

In a follow-up post, Pluto, who made his first million at the age of 20, went on to emphasise that he does not want to be dragged into unnecessary drama surrounding such matters, reiterating that he has fully healed from anything related to his past relationship.

“So I wouldn’t want to be pulled into unnecessary stuff. I’m happy. Just doing what I do best—breaking couples,” he wrote.

Breakup

Pluto was in a high-end relationship with Shiru for nearly three years, but it wasn’t until September 2024 that they decided to part ways.

At the time, it was Pluto who first broke the news, taking to Instagram to announce that their union had abruptly come to an end.

And he took a moment to advise his fans against rushing to speculate on the reasons behind their breakup, warning that such speculation could fuel misinformation.

He further assured that despite their separation, they would remain committed co-parents for the sake of their young daughter and asked fans who were relentlessly pressing him for details to respect their privacy, as the breakup had been a difficult time for both of them.

“We have decided to go our separate ways and end our three-year relationship. Thank you for the continued support from family, friends, and fans. Let’s not speculate anything or spread lies about the situation. We will co-parent peacefully to ensure the life of our lovely daughter is not affected. Give us some space during this hard time,” he wrote.

Legally Married?

In an interview with Mungai Eve in July 2023, Shiru took time to clarify why they were never legally married, revealing that it was due to their differing religious beliefs.

She explained that they often found themselves in conflicting situations over the matter, as Pluto is a Muslim while she is a Christian. While Pluto insisted on having a Muslim wedding, she firmly wanted a Christian one.

“I would like a church wedding, by the way. We usually talk about it. You know, he’s Muslim, and I’m Christian. He tells me he wants us to have a Muslim wedding, but I tell him I want a church wedding. So, we’re still figuring it out,” she explained, adding that she is not ready to change her religion.
