As Super Bowl LIX prepared to kick off, players arrived at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, dressed in their finest game day ‘fits.
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles for the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce turned heads in a ‘70s-style maroon suit paired with gold accessories, including a gold rose pinned to his lapel. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes donned a tailored, Eagles-green checkered suit, shared by the NFL via Instagram.
“Without a doubt, I think the football world is starting to kind of come around to being that fashion-forward mentality,” Kelce told Complex in September 2021. “And our game days are 16, 17 weeks, now 18 weeks out of the year. So it’s like we get, almost, anticipation for those big-time moments. It’s almost like it’s a red carpet every single week.”
