Miranda Lambert is feeling the love after “disappointed” fans advocated for her to headline a concert instead of being an opening act for Morgan Wallen.

Lambert, 41, shared an Instagram Reel on Tuesday, February 4, in which she read comments from people who reacted to the news that she will be joining Morgan Wallen on his upcoming I’m the Problem Tour.

“I appreciate that y’all aren’t afraid to hold back 😂,” Lambert captioned the post, which she titled “Mean Tweets: Morgan Wallen Tour Edition.”

Lambert read some of the dismayed reactions, which included, “Hm, team Miranda forever, but this comes as a shock.” Another person expressed their frustration, writing, “I’m so disappointed in both of you, may God forgive you both.”

Despite the negativity, Lambert laughed it off in the video. “We’re really doing bad on this tour, Morgan,” she quipped. “Thanks for the support.”

Other reactions included reminders that Lambert is “not a side dish” but “a main course.” Another person declared,Miranda, you’re just clinging to something popular so you can try to stay relevant,” she read.

Wallen, 31, announced his upcoming tour in January, which will feature appearances from Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson. The event has 19 shows in 10 different cities.

“We made so many lifelong memories on the One Night at a Time World Tour, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for my fans and the way they showed up each night,” Wallen said in a statement at the time. “As I’ve been working on new music, it has inspired me to get back on the road and share these new songs with each of you on the I’m The Problem Tour. See y’all there.”

Lambert, for her part, appeared unbothered by the negative response to her joining Wallen on the road. In addition to collaborating with Wallen, Lambert has her own music that she released in September 2024 off her Postcards from Texas album.

“After 20 years on Sony Records and then parting ways and regrouping, I had time to think, what do I really want my next chapter to be? I wanted to go back to the root and find my footing again,” she exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “To finally make another record in Texas with my best friend, Jon Randall, and it just has this honky-tonk home sound to me. That’s the way I grew up. It’s the music that got me started. So it feels full circle.”

Lambert reflected on how she has been able to stay true to herself.

“I’m sure it crosses everyone’s mind, because as a songwriter, you’re really saying your truth. And I think it’s important, even the tough songs that are like, ‘Oh, this one’s pretty raw,’” she added. “But I put songs like that on every record I’ve ever put out because that’s what I signed up to do. That’s what country music is about: saying the truth — good, bad or ugly.”

She continued: “I’m definitely a fiery personality and am strong in who I am. Most times it’s been worth it, honestly, because at least people know who I am. Sometimes, if you’re just vanilla and not polarizing in any way, do you just kind of disappear into the fray?”
