MP Caleb Amisi mourns death of journalist Herman Igambi


Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has mourned the death of veteran journalist Herman Igambi.

Igambi died on Monday at his home village in Burunda, Saboti Constituency, in Trans-Nzoia County following a long battle with brain cancer.

Expressing his sorrow, MP Caleb Amisi paid tribute to Igambi’s legacy and courage describing him as a remarkable individual whose contributions to journalism and his community would not be forgotten.

He also described Igambi as a source of pride for Saboti Constituency and a role model for many in the area.

He commended Igambi’s strength in his battle with cancer and acknowledged the indelible mark he left on journalism.

“It is with great sadness that I have learned of the passing of veteran journalist and former Citizen TV Managing Editor, Herman Igambi. As a proud son of Birunda in Saboti Constituency, Herman’s life and work have profoundly impacted both the media industry and our community. His exceptional contributions to journalism over the years have left an indelible mark, and his courage in battling brain cancer since 2015 was truly inspiring,” Amisi stated.

The legislator extended his condolences to Igambi’s family, friends, and colleagues, assuring them that the people of Saboti stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.

“On behalf of the people of Saboti, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind,” the lawmaker stated.
