“I want to be a little more polished but not look overdone,” Pamela Anderson recently said of her new fuss-free fashion aesthetic in an interview with Martha Stewart that appears in the latest issue of Elle, published online on Friday, January 24.
Anderson, 57, brought that point home while en route to appear on the January 30 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! She arrived at the studio in sexy-sophisticated black PJs and pearl-encrusted pumps, both by the legendary French fashion house Chanel.
The moment was a long-awaited rejoice of the return of loungewear as everyday-wear, after the pajama dressing look was all the rage in 2022, until it went from trendy to, well, tired, overnight.
Before then, every A-lister, from Angelina Jolie to Selena Gomez to Gigi Hadid, had spent months collectively making compelling statements for 24/7 pajamas that made it acceptable, if not encouraged, to leave the house in silk pajamas or slouchy sweats — simply add high heels.
Her latest ensemble is all the more compelling considering that Anderson outfits herself. As she revealed to Variety at the 2025 Golden Globes, her stunning Oscar de la Renta look came together with “no stylist, no glam team, just me.” And the award-winning actor doesn’t need a red carpet to prove her self-styling strategy looks effortless but actually works overtime.
Indeed, The Last Showgirl also had Us quickly warming up to the idea of tonal sleepwear as streetwear back in early January, when Anderson was seen arriving at SiriusXM in New York City wearing similarly laid-back yet incredibly luxe co-ords: a chic bouclé Chanel set consisting of a relaxed-fit cardigan and wide-leg trousers. She was glowing and makeup-free, per usual.
To take pajamas out of the bedroom and out on the town, ground yours with classic neutral pumps, just like Anderson. Both of her latest PJ outfits were in keeping with her own self-described desire to look polished, not try-hard — or as the Beyoncé-coined catchphrase goes: “I woke up like this.”
If you’re like Us, you’ll be inclined to wear pajamas that go from day to night and back to bed.
