Ruth K over the moon as Mulamwah finally proposes to her
Comedian David Oyando, widely known as Mulamwah, has finally proposed to his girlfriend, content creator Ruth K.
The exciting news was first revealed by Ruth on her official Instagram page on Monday, February 17, 2025, where she gushed over the sparkling ring Mulamwah had presented to her, expressing her immense joy over his decision to take their relationship to the next level.
The mother of one also shared adorable snapshots of her hand, showcasing her red-and-white acrylic nails while proudly displaying the ring. She further delighted fans with a video of the ring inside its box, surrounded by roses, before Mulamwah slipped it onto her finger.
On his part, Mulamwah took to his Instagram page to share the same photos, captioning them that cute fingers like Ruth K’s deserved to be decorated with rings, while adding heart and kiss emojis.
The comedian also shared photos of the bouquets of flowers he had gifted Ruth during the proposal and later went to her post to reply with heart emojis.
The couple is undeniably one of the town’s hottest topics, thanks to their public relationship and the constant display of affection in the form of sweet, lovey-dovey snaps that keep their fans swooning.
Ruth K, known online as Mama Kalamz, wasn’t a notable figure on the internet until Mulamwah introduced her as his girlfriend, initially claiming she was just his “bestie.”
Since then, Ruth has become a highly regarded digital content creator, launching her own YouTube channel, which has now amassed over 150K subscribers.
According to Mulamwah, the two first crossed paths in 2021 at a hardware store in Kitale, where Ruth worked as an attendant.
Mulamwah was there purchasing supplies for his Kitale mansion, and that’s when they struck up a connection.
They soon began sharing affectionate videos, causing fans to speculate whether they were truly just friends, as Mulamwah initially insisted. However, the comedian later clarified that Ruth was, in fact, his girlfriend.
He explained that despite the drama, he preferred to call her his “bestie” because it felt more romantic to him.
Their relationship has flourished over time, and they even joined forces in business.
On February 10, 2024, Ruth gave birth to their son, Oyando Jr.
Traditional wedding
In October 2023, despite still referring to each other as “besties,” Mulamwah visited Ruth’s parents for what appeared to be a traditional wedding.
The event, adorned with a black-and-gold dress code, featured a banner reading “Welcome to our ceremony, David and Ruth, Bestie.” Family and friends gathered to celebrate, as Mulamwah officially met Ruth’s parents.
Photos and videos shared online depicted the couple growing closer as they took turns addressing their loved ones, signaling the solemnisation of their union.
Mulamwah had previously been in a relationship with Carol Muthoni, with whom he shares a daughter, before their relationship came to an end.
