A skit featuring fast-rising musician Stevo Simple Boy, where he appears before students and introduces himself as their new music teacher, has gone viral.
The two-minute clip shows pupils during their break, chatting casually before their teacher walks in.
On her arrival, the students immediately fall silent and repositioned themselves in their seats.
This is when the teacher, Madam Junet, announces that the lesson of the day is music. She adds that she has invited a special guest— a musician— to help them understand the subject better.
Stevo then steps into the classroom, emerging from the door to a wave of jubilation and cheers from the excited pupils.
He greets them with his signature dragon moto testing phrase, and the thrilled students respond with the iconic reply, “waa.” The moment sets a lively tone as Stevo jokes about testing their brains, leaving the students laughing uproariously.
Music teacher
Once the laughter dies down, the ‘Ndio Maanake’ hitmaker takes the opportunity to explain why he is there.
He praises the Friends Academy students for their incredible talents and says he wants to help them elevate their music careers to an international level.
Stevo then makes the big announcement that from that moment on, he will be their music teacher making the students erupt in jubilation once again.
“Wanafunzi wa Friends Academy mko na kibali sana. N a mimi nitakuwa mwalimu wenu wa muziki. Mtafika internationally Mungu awabariki.”

Many shared humorous reactions to how the pupils perfectly echoed his ‘dragon moto testing’ catchphrase, while others wondered if Stevo had taken a new career path.
Some fans speculated about the absence of Machabe, his frequent companion, while others sent Stevo warm messages, congratulating him on his growing career.
Funny outfits
In the skit, the students are neatly dressed in yellow and green PE kits, while Stevo sports a pink, collarless shirt paired with matching pink trousers featuring black patchwork details.
Although his outfit didn’t draw much attention in this skit, other outfits he’s worn recently have created a buzz.
For instance, just yesterday, Sunday, January 19, 2025, Stevo addressed the government while dressed in a puffy dungaree, metallic gloves, and a white helmet, resembling an astronaut.
In the video, the musician humorously claimed he would move to space because he was wearing a space suit.
He also called out the government over abductions, asserting that even the DCI wouldn’t be able to find him in space.
