Many stars are trading the screen for the stage, starring in Broadway productions in 2025 — but it can cost fans hundreds of dollars to see their favorite movie stars perform IRL.
Shailene Woodley made her Great White Way debut in Leslye Headland’s Cult of Love, a play that also stars Zachary Quinto, Barbie Ferreira, Rebecca Henderson, Molly Bernard, Christopher Lowell and more.
“There’s sort of this magical thing that happens when you read something that is exquisitely written and jumps off the page and enters my body,” Woodley told Playbill in December 2024. “I felt like I understood everything about this play from the first experience of reading it.”
The Divergent star is not the only celebrity to perform on Broadway this season. Nick Jonas, for his part, will return to Broadway after a decade to portray Jamie Wellerstein in the highly anticipated revival of The Last Five Years opposite Tony winner Adrienne Warren.
“This is a show that I have loved for a very long time,” Jonas said on Good Morning America in June 2024. “I was in Beauty and the Beast as Chip the Teacup when I was 9. All my adult castmates were obsessed with this cast album when it was first in its production off-Broadway. My parents bought [me the soundtrack], and I just wore it out.”
