Lauren Graham’s ‘The Z-Suite’ Character Jokes She ‘Fixed’ Herself After Going to Therapy Once (Exclusive)

Lauren Graham‘s character on Tubi’s The Z-Suite is the queen of self-healing — and after just one therapy session.

In Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the Thursday, February 27, episode, Mark McKinney‘s George lays down the law with Monica (Graham) and Kriska (Madison Shamoun).

“Maybe this is as good a time as any to say that I have decided to open up the campaign,” he reveals. “I have to reevaluate my options. You will get a chance to pitch and the best idea wins the campaign.”

Kriska is surprised by the shakeup, but George won’t budge, saying, “There’s nothing to talk about. I loved your initial ideas but we both know you have been floundering ever since.”

While Monica got excited by the potential win, George noted that she shouldn’t “get too excited.”

“We have a great history but lately you have been off,” he told Monica. “Crashing a Bat Mitzvah? Humiliating yourself online? You should leave that to divorced women posting pictures of their new tattoos.”

George continued: “I am hoping one of you can do what I need to get my message across to Gen Z. I need younger people to start buying my burgers before my old customers die from heartaches.”

Monica didn’t seem too concerned though. “You don’t need to worry about me, George,” she replied. “I went to therapy one time and I fixed myself.”

The Z-Suite, which premiered earlier this month, is Tubi’s first original scripted comedy. The series follows a boutique ad agency in New York City facing a slew of generational clashes between C-Suite executives and Gen Z employees. In addition to Graham, 57, Shamoun, 28, and McKinney, 65, The Z-Suite stars Nico Santos, Spencer Stevenson, Anna Bezahler and Rhys Darby.

“I always read things so fast, I get so excited and I basically read [the script for this] in this hotel lobby and I just thought, ‘What fun?’” Graham told TV Insider in February about joining the show. “I had been wanting to do a half-hour [comedy] and I was just really excited to meet the writer [Katie O’Brien].”

“I think a lot of it is in Monica’s frustration with a young person who’s just started out, who expects that they should now be running the show without having paid dues and without the experience,” she explained about her character. “I mean, I find it fascinating when I come across someone with incredible confidence who has no business having any. I still don’t have confidence and I’ve been doing this for a million years.”

The Z-Suite airs Thursdays on Tubi.
