‘Bling Empire: New York’ Star Lynn Ban Dead at 51 After Brain Surgery Following Ski Accident!
We are deeply saddened to report the passing of Bling Empire: New York star Lynn Ban at the age of 51. Her son confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram, just weeks after Lynn was involved in a devastating Christmas Eve ski accident.
The tragic event left her hospitalized, and she was initially hopeful about her recovery. Here’s what we know about the circumstances leading to her death. Lynn had shared that she was “grateful” and “blessed” to see the year 2025. On Christmas Eve, while vacationing with family in Aspen, Colorado, Lynn faced a serious ski accident.
In an Instagram post, she described the moment she “face-planted” after catching a tip while skiing. Fortunately, she was wearing a helmet and managed to ski down to the bottom of the mountain.
However, after developing a headache, Lynn went to a local hospital, where doctors discovered a brain bleed. She was immediately airlifted to a trauma center for further care.
Lynn was intubated and underwent an emergency craniotomy, and though she knew she had a “long road of recovery ahead,” she remained optimistic and thankful. “Grateful and blessed to see 2025,” she wrote, showing her determination to push through.
Tragically, less than a month later, on January 20, 2025, Lynn passed away, with her son Sebastian paying a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. “I love you more than life itself,” he shared, expressing how deeply he would miss her.
According to NYPD sources, Lynn was found dead in her Tribeca home by her husband, Jett Kain, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on January 20. This followed Lynn’s announcement on December 30, where she had opened up about her ski accident.
“At the top of the mountain I caught a tip and face planted. Luckily I always wear a helmet, It didn’t seem that bad at the time and I was able to ski to the bottom,” she had written at the time. In the post, Lynn mentioned that she decided to get checked by ski patrol for a concussion, but they cleared her.
However, after experiencing the headache, she sought further medical attention.
“Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side,” she revealed in an emotional update. In the days following her passing, friends and fans, including Bling Empire star Dorothy Wang, shared tributes and heartfelt messages of support. Dorothy described Lynn as a “badass” and promised to never forget her, joining many others who mourned her untimely loss.
