Erin Lichy’s Husband Abe Says RHONY Season 15 Was Boring and Reveals Someone Won’t Return Next Season!
Abe Lichy, husband of Real Housewives of New York star Erin Lichy, is giving fans a glimpse into what’s to come for the hit Bravo series, particularly after a season that drew criticism for being “boring.”
Despite some dramatic moments, including the fallout between Brynn Whitfield and Ubah Hassan, the season ultimately struggled with viewership, hitting a “series low” in November 2024. With a shake-up on the horizon, Abe believes the show could use a fresh approach for the upcoming season.
In an exclusive interview on the DeuxU podcast with Deux Moi, Abe shared his candid thoughts on the Real Housewives of New York franchise. When asked about the recent casting call for Season 16, Abe wasn’t shocked by the announcement but revealed that the current cast was caught off guard.
“I think the show needs a shake-up next season,” he said. “Let’s be honest, most of the season was pretty boring. Things only got interesting toward the end.”
Abe acknowledged that while the group had its moments, a change in the lineup might be necessary. “The raw materials are there,” he continued. “They could bring in some fresh blood, maybe swap out one or two cast members. I’m curious to see where they take it.”
When probed about potential cast departures, Abe confirmed that there was at least one person he was certain wouldn’t be returning. Fans don’t think it was about Rebecca Minkoff even though she announced her departure days after the interview.
“There is at least one person I’m fairly certain won’t return,” he said.
“I don’t think I can say the name, but I’d be very surprised if this person came back. And I think there might be another one, maybe two, who also don’t return—probably a mutual decision.”
As fans eagerly await the casting changes, it remains to be seen how the new season will take shape and whether the fresh direction can breathe new life into the series.
