Marcus Jordan’s Drug Charge FLIPS – Testing Reveals It Was Ketamine, Not Cocaine!
Marcus Jordan’s recent arrest has taken a new turn.
The 33-year-old son of NBA legend Michael Jordan was initially reported to have been caught with cocaine in his vehicle during his February 4 arrest. However, according to updated reports, the substance was later confirmed to be ketamine—a revelation that could impact his legal consequences.
As fans may recall, Marcus, who recently split from Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen, was arrested in Maitland, Florida after authorities found his Lamborghini stuck on train tracks. The situation could have turned tragic, as reports indicate a commuter train was just 10 minutes away from the scene.
Marcus now faces multiple charges, including possession of ketamine, DUI with property damage, and resisting arrest. Initially, the white powdery substance found in his vehicle tested as cocaine, but further examination revealed it was actually ketamine—a Schedule III narcotic, compared to cocaine, which is classified as a Schedule II drug in Florida.
This change in classification may reduce the severity of his potential sentencing.
The legal troubles have reportedly shaken Michael Jordan, who is struggling to process his son’s downward spiral. “It’s a little hard for Mike to process because cocaine was such a big thing when he entered the league, and he saw so many players ruin their lives and careers with it,” a source told Radar Online.
Though the NBA legend is determined to help Marcus, it’s unclear what steps he plans to take. With his charges now centered on ketamine possession rather than cocaine, Marcus could face a lesser sentence under Florida law.
However, with a DUI, resisting arrest, and property damage also on the list, his legal troubles are far from over.
As Marcus navigates his next steps, all eyes will be on whether Michael Jordan steps in to intervene—and if his son will turn things around before it’s too late.
