On Married At First Sight, the fall out of the cheating scandal rifts the other couples and Karla Juarez calls Madison Myers grimy. The experts help put an end to the marriage of Emem Obot and Ikechi Ojore and are shocked when she gets the last word. Allen Slovick destroys the remnants of his marriage back in Chicago. Married At First Sight: Karla Juarez Calls Out Madison Myers
It’s the morning after the cheating scandal on Married At First Sight and Karla Juarez is keeping it real. While Michelle Tomblin and Emem Obot left the night before along with Allen Slovick, the remaining cast tries to unwrap the betrayals. Karla Juarez slept through most of the cabinet kicking and confrontation. So she asks Madison Myers to explain it to her. Camille Parsons joins them and wisely hands out mimosas.
But a nice morning combo of champagne and orange juice doesn’t soften Karla Juarez. She’s visibly appalled as Madison tells a tale of getting to know David on their many gym dates. And how they comforted each other over their miserable MAFS marriages. Karla flat out tells Madison that what she did “was like grimy dude”. And no amount of tears shed on the treadmill can justify her not owning up to it sooner. Especially when Michelle Tomblin questioned her specifically about her suspicions.
The once regal looking retreat house seems to be in shambles after the fallout on Married at First Sight. Madison Myers decides to leave after Karla Juarez admits she doesn’t want to hang out with somebody that broke girl code. David Trimble, who is still bopping around with his side ponytail tries to give a lighthearted goodbye to the final four. But Karla casually rolls her eyes while noshing on some chips and guacamole and suggests things have now become The Hunger Games.
MAFS: Allen Slovick Destroys Marriage Mementos
While everyone was rehashing the night before, Allen Slovick quietly returned to the scene of the Married At First Sight couple’s retreat. He’s there to pick up his car and the spices he used to cook tacos for the cast. The irony is not lost on the fact that tacos will prominently figure later in a montage of David Trimble and Madison Myers sneaking around. Allen is stoic but obviously hurt. The others lend support and kind words before he goes.
Back in Chicago Allen Slovick seeks solace from Michelle Tomblin, the other piece of this messy quadrangle. While Michelle wasn’t really ever vested in David, she’s not going to let him get away with this on principle. Allen reveals Madison has reached out wanting to explain her side. But Allen is angry and replies that she shouldn’t text him anymore and that “her words have no value to him”.
Allen proceeds to return to the marital apartment and dramatically rips up photos and break ceramic Mr. and Mrs. mugs. He sadly recalls the nights he waited for Madison Myers to get home while realizing David Trimble was right upstairs. He burns her vows with the flame of the gas stove. I mean dude. You’ve known her less than 8 weeks and she was honest she wasn’t into you. This was a tad juvenile and desperate even though they were wrong not to come clean earlier.
Married At First Sight: Emem Obot Gets the Last Word
The experts have resurfaced to intervene in the Chicago chaos. Pastor Cal Roberson sounded like he just woke up from a nap when Michelle Tomblin dropped the whole Madison/David bomb on him. Dr. Pepper Schwartz seems bored and Dr. Pia Holec is the only person who actually has empathy for Ikechi Ojore. They first deal with the Emem/Ikechi situation. Emem Obot arrives first. She feels confident and admits she wishes him the worst.
True to form Ikechi Ojore sulks in on Married At First Sight and paints himself as a victim. Dr. Pepper cross-examines him about the divorce paper stunt. Emem calls the stunt a burning bag of dog s*it. Pastor Cal Roberson asks if they will continue. Obviously, the answer is no. Emem reads a “letter to my departed’ which is a scathing account of Ikechi’s personality along with a list of therapists. Mic drop. However Dr. Pia Holec seems to disapprove of Emem’s parting words. But really it probably wasn’t harsh enough.
Last but not least the experts sit down with the Married At First Sight couple who made history by being the first to swap spouses on the down low. Now that their trail of tacos and tears is exposed. Madison Myers hopes for grace. Dr. Pepper starts the interrogation. The couple defend their blossoming “friendship”. When asked if they’ve been intimate David Trimble says no. Dr. Pia Holec calls them out as liars and it’s on to decision day next!
