Married At First Sight: Madison Myers Creeps in Late at Night
As the clock ticks close to decision day for our Married At First Sight Chicago crew, Madison Myers seems to be enjoying some extra late nights. While her husband Allen Slovick sleeps on the sofa lying in wait, Madison cuts a grainy figure on camera returning to the apartment in the wee hours three times in one week. When Allen questions her late nights, she blames it on a long line at the taco joint.
Later, in a session with Dr. Pia Holec, Madison Myers defends her nights out as just a way to blow off steam after her and Allen have a disagreement. Allen doesn’t find it so innocent. And admits that when Madison is out late, he has nightmares of her hooking up with random dudes. But Madison Myers says she wasn’t aware her late nights at Taco Velvet were causing him anxiety. And promises to taper her party nights.
From the jump, Madison Myers hasn’t held back that she’s not a fan of Allen’s style on Married At First Sight. Perhaps contributing to her lack of physical attraction for him. So, they hit up a personal stylist for some tips to give Allen Slovick a glow-up. Allen admits his style icons range from James Bond to Trailer Park Boys. He tries on a few ensembles that gain Madison’s approval. But is it enough to make her stay home?
Married At First Sight: Ikechi Ojore Pulls a Stunt
Emem Obot expresses her frustration to Dr. Pia Holec on MAFS. She hasn’t heard from Ikechi Ojore since he went on a weekend trip. And she just isn’t sure what is going on with him. However, Ikechi shows up disgruntled in his trademark yellow frames to sulk some more. He claims he doesn’t want to go on with the marriage leading Emem Obot to walk off. But sends a mixed signal when she returns by asking her to play video games.
On Married At First Sight, Emem Obot dishes about her marriage problems over martinis with Michelle Tomblin. Who drops a bombshell of her own concerning her theory of who David Trimble was really texting that night. She knows she might be spiraling, but she confides to Emem that the text may have been meant for Madison Myers. Since they were out in the same bar that night. Emem is intrigued by the speculation and tells her to continue to follow her hunch.
Later, Michelle Tomblin agrees to meet with David Trimble at their apartment. She reveals that his cousin threw him under the bus. So, David rattles off a story that the raunchy text was meant for a mystery woman named “Tiffany”. Whose contact he deleted immediately after. But Michelle isn’t buying his latest spin on Married At First Sight. And he counters that he doesn’t get any encouragement or interest from her so even though it was wrong, it really was just a mistake.
MAFS Couples Retreat off to a Rocky Start
The Married At First Sight couples pack and prepare for the couples retreat in the Chicago suburbs. Michelle and Emem ride together. David Trimble decides to travel there solo since he and Michelle haven’t been speaking. Allen Slovick designates himself as chef for the night. And prepares a simple but delicious looking meal of shrimp tacos. In the midst of dinner, Ikechi Ojore shows up carrying a green folder.
He rejects Allen’s offer to make him a taco. He claims he’s allergic to shellfish. But apparently not to childish stunts. He calls Emem Obot away from the table and hands her a single sheet with nowhere to sign. Emem smugly refuses to sign the rogue draft. And he takes off. The rest of the cast are very annoyed by his antics and rally around Emem. Who rightly labels him an a-hole. A sort of roundtable starts where everyone weighs in on the state of their marriage on Married At First Sight.
After Juan Franco admits some of Karla’s crystals aren’t his cup of tea, Michelle Tomblin suggests David weigh in. David defends himself for texting another female suggesting Michelle isn’t interested in him. Michelle quizzes Allen and Madison over the state of their romance. Madison Myers is uncomfortable and triggered by the questioning. And storms off suggesting she will pack her bags and leave. This makes it even more suspicious to Michelle that the text may have been intended for Madison. Till next time!
