Ryan Reynolds is once again in the spotlight as past claims made by comedian TJ Miller resurface amidst a contentious legal battle involving his wife, Blake Lively, and It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.

TJ Miller’s Accusations Against Ryan Reynolds Resurface

TJ Miller, 43, alleged during a 2022 interview on The Adam Carolla Show that Reynolds, 48, was “horrifically mean” to him on the set of Deadpool 2 and showed signs of being “insecure.”

“His whole big thing then was, like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie,’” Miller claimed, referencing an alleged on-set incident.

Despite the tension, Miller expressed no ill will toward Reynolds.

“Would I work with him again? No. I would not work with him again,” he said. “I sorta wish him well because he’s so good at Deadpool.”

Miller later claimed the two patched things up, telling *The Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show* that Reynolds emailed him to clear up any misunderstandings.

The Lively-Baldoni Feud

The resurfaced allegations come as Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41, engage in a legal dispute stemming from their collaboration on It Ends With Us. Lively previously filed a complaint and lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment. Baldoni, who has denied the allegations, responded with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Soane.

In court documents, Baldoni claimed Lively “hijacked” the creative process during filming and alleged the couple tried to tarnish his reputation following the movie’s release.

Baldoni also accused Lively and Reynolds of mistreating him during the film’s premiere, stating he and his family were forced to wait in a basement holding area surrounded by overstocked concession items while security ensured he wouldn’t cross paths with Lively.

Lively’s Attorneys Fire Back

Lively’s attorneys issued a scathing statement addressing Baldoni’s lawsuit, calling it a “retaliatory” move. “This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook,” the statement read.

They accused Baldoni and his production company of using financial resources to launch “meritless lawsuits” in an attempt to silence Lively’s harassment claims. “This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation, and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim,” the statement continued, referencing the DARVO tactic (Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender).

The legal team also alleged that others involved in the production had negative experiences with Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios. “The evidence will show that the cast and others had their own negative experiences with Mr. Baldoni and Wayfarer,” the statement asserted.

Baldoni Denies Allegations

Baldoni has steadfastly denied the allegations, arguing that Lively’s claims are unfounded and aimed at damaging his reputation. He maintains that his production company operated professionally and that the accusations are part of a coordinated effort by Lively, Reynolds, and their team to harm him personally and professionally.

Miller’s Troubled Past

While the legal battle unfolds, TJ Miller’s controversial history continues to surface alongside his comments about Reynolds. The comedian was accused of sexual assault in 2017, and in 2018 he was arrested for allegedly making a fake bomb threat, though the charges were later dropped. Miller was also accused of bullying Silicon Valley co-star Alice Wetterlund, which he has denied.

Miller’s rocky relationship with Reynolds seemingly reached a resolution in late 2022. However, the actor did not reprise his role as Weasel in Deadpool & Wolverine, released in July 2024, which went on to achieve box-office success.

The Road Ahead

As the legal drama between Lively, Baldoni, and Reynolds continues to unfold, both sides remain entrenched in their positions. With Lively’s legal team doubling down on their accusations and Baldoni filing his substantial countersuit, the saga is far from over.

Reynolds has not publicly addressed either the lawsuit or Miller’s resurfaced claims, leaving fans to speculate on the impact these controversies may have on his career and personal life.
