Sister Wives star Janelle Brown left Kody Brown but her struggle without him in her life seemed to continue even once she left her shared husband on the TLC series. Despite being the strong independent woman we see today on the TLC series, Janelle struggled. Then Kody’s jealousy of Janelle kicked in during one of the last episodes in the first half of Season 19, and in some strange way, they both seem to miss something about each other still today.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Anger at Janelle Brown Kicks In
Sister Wives scenes have Janelle Brown with her head on straight as she starts her new life far away from Kody Brown. Despite going through all the right motions to gain freedom from this polygamous marriage, Janelle had misgivings. There was still an undercurrent of missing Kody for Janelle. We saw this surface several times on both the screen and social media.
Kody Brown misses Janelle, likely more than she misses him. That is because she left a void the other wives couldn’t fill. Up until he learned Janelle was moving out of state, the Sister Wives patriarch thought there was a chance he and Janelle Brown could reboot their relationship.
Fans of the show see Kody Brown with the emotions of a teenager, especially when he is angry. So, his anger brewed toward Janelle Brown for leaving the state without telling him. That seemed to cue his spiel on denouncing things about his second wife.
He looked into the Sister Wives cameras and said that Janelle thinks she deserves something because she is divorcing him. He was referring to her attempting to get what is owed to her out of Coyote Pass.
Kody’s and Janelle’s Complicated Relationship…
No matter what, Sister Wives fans seem to agree that Janelle Brown is better off without Kody Brown in her life. And while Janelle’s intellect probably tells her the same thing, her heart seems to still have a bit of an attachment.
Janelle said she missed Kody in her bed, which stunned fans. For years, viewers thought the two had more of a cerebral bond than romance. But Janelle quietly acknowledged there was more when sharing that statement. She alluded to her romance with Kody not starting until several years into their marriage.
Up until that point, fans only knew what they heard from Kody. He said Janelle Brown was like one of the guys. The Sister Wives Papa described her as someone he could spend hours with conversing about the many things they had in common. So, when your mind goes to her nights with Kody, you might have pictured the two sitting across the table talking about current events.
But now we know that wasn’t the case. From the sound of things, she had a romantic relationship with Kody, who was also like her best friend. After having six kids together, we knew some romance happened through the years.
But Janelle seemed to set the story straight, she shared a romantic love affair with her shared husband. They weren’t just great conversation buddies. So, she likely misses Kody Brown as a friend and as a lover at some level today.
Sister Wives: Family and Pride Offers Roadblocks
Again, Janelle Brown is likely better off without Kody Brown, which is the consensus among Sister Wives fans. This mindset is also shared by many of her family members. But that doesn’t make it easier for her. She struggled when deciding whether to leave him or not.
Still, when she finally did, she didn’t have any wiggle room to change her mind, if she had wanted to. Too many people, like Christine Brown, and her kids supported her divorce. Today, she’s buying land with her daughter, Maddie Brown Brush, and son-in-law Caleb Brush. So, this pretty much puts her in a place of no return.
But when she first left him, all the support would have made it hard for her to change her mind. Then there is Kody, whose pride kicked in when Janelle divorced him. This caused him to spew accusations about Janelle Brown. He claims that his second wife thinks she is owed money because she divorced him.
Then Janelle was peeved when he suggested she was the source of the family’s money problems. Even Meri Brown was shocked to learn that Janelle didn’t disperse the funds, she only did the family bookkeeping.
So, while this relationship is over, it looks like both Janelle Brown and Kody Brown suffered in silence both on and off the TLC screen. Whether they would admit it today or not, both dropped enough clues to indicate they missed each other, especially when they first split.
