Teresa Giudice SLAMS Jenna Lyons and Erin Lichy for Sharing Abortion Stories on TV—’I Was Taken Aback!’

Teresa Giudice recently shared her thoughts on the abortion revelations from The Real Housewives of New York City cast, particularly focusing on Jenna Lyons and Erin Lichy’s openness about their past experiences.

Appearing on the February 6 episode of Bonded by Bravo, Teresa admitted that while drama often drives viewership, she found herself taken aback by their decision to go public with such a personal topic.

“I have seen it. I mean, listen, drama sells,” Teresa began when discussing RHONY. “From the beginning, it was a little hard for me to just jump into it. But now I’ve been watching it… [And] I think people are starting to get into it.” While she appreciated the cast for being open, Teresa expressed discomfort over the abortion stories shared by Jenna and Erin.

“To me, I don’t know, a mom of four girls, I don’t think I would really want to advertise that I’m getting abortions,” Teresa shared. “I wouldn’t want my kids to think that that’s okay. I know that’s a touchy subject, but to me, it’s something private… I was just like, ‘Wow.’ I was taken aback by that.”

In a episode of RHONY, both Jenna and Erin spoke openly about their past abortions. Erin recalled how the decision was a difficult one and revealed her feelings of shame at the time, saying it was “the toughest decision” she had made.

Jenna, who was 21 when she got her abortion, explained that at the time, she was starting her career in fashion in New York City and felt financially unprepared for a child. “It’s a really hard thing to go through,” Jenna reflected.

Erin, who has three children with her husband Abe, later expressed that she had felt ashamed and blamed herself.

While the RHONY women’s decision to share such personal experiences has sparked conversations among viewers, Teresa’s comments reveal a different perspective—one rooted in her own values as a mother.

“It’s something private,” Teresa emphasized, making it clear that she felt the topic was not something she would publicly discuss, especially given the influence on her daughters.

Season 15 of RHONJ is currently in the works, while RHONY Season 16 is casting and seeking new faces.
